Steve Filipov is President,
Developing Markets and Strategic Accounts, reporting directly to
the Chairman and CEO of Terex Corporation.
Mr. Filipov has been with Terex for
more than 16 years in management positions of increasing scope and
responsibility, including sales, marketing, general management and
production. Mr. Filipov was named
President, Developing Markets and Strategic Accounts,
inJanuary 2008 to lead the company's global efforts to increase
sales, distribution, and local manufacturing efforts in emerging
nations. For most of his career with Terex, he has worked outside
of theUnited States.
Terex now generates approximately a
third of its revenue from developing market countries and has more
than 4,000 team members there. He has responsibility for country
strategies inRussia, the Middle East, Latin America, andIndiaand in
supporting the goal to double revenues from developing
nations. He is also responsible for coordinating and
developing global sales for key global strategic accounts such as
Bechtel, Ameco, Holcim, Colas, and others. In addition, he oversees
the Global Marketing Function at Terex, including brand
development, market intelligence and customer satisfaction.
Mr. Filipov also leads the Terex
Global Tower Crane business as it pursues as aggressive growth
strategy within the developing markets. He enjoys strong
relationships with Terex Tower Crane customers worldwide, thanks to
his previous role as President, Terex Cranes, a position he held
since 2004. Under his leadership, Terex Cranes business
segment revenues more than doubled from $900 million in 2003 to
more than $2.2 billion in 2007, while operating profits increased
from $30 million to $250 million in the same period. He improved
the talent base of the organization and led implementation of the
Terex Business System that focuses on lean manufacturing
principles.
