Joe Krider is Vice President, Developing Markets for Terex
Corporation (NYSE:TEX), a manufacturer of capital equipment for the
construction and infrastructure sectors. He leads the company's
efforts driving greater penetration into developing markets, with a
specific focus on Russia/CIS. From 2006 - 2009 Joe served in
Moscow as President, Russia & CIS for Terex. He was the
company's executive officer leading Terex's $200mm business in the
territory, having grown it from a base of $33mm in 2006. Among his
responsibilities, Joe focused on pursuing partnerships that extend
Terex's distribution and manufacturing capabilities in this key
region, culminating in the May 2011 Joint Venture agreement with
Russia's GAZ Group.
From 2004 - 2006 he was responsible for strategic
acquisitions, joint ventures and equity investments for Terex, with
a primary focus on the company's activities in emerging
markets.
Prior to joining Terex, Joe was on the executive team of JC Watts
Companies. As CFO, Joe was responsible for the financial strength
and business strategy of the firm. He led the firm's foray into
private equity transactions via JC Watts Capital
Partners.
Joe has a strong background in the business, financial and
government sectors. His capital markets experience stems from his
role as a Vice President in UBS Warburg's Global Technology
Investment Banking Group where he advised clients on strategic and
capital-raising transactions including public offerings, mergers
and acquisitions. Previously, Joe led UBS' Emerging Companies
Advisory Team in Washington, D.C. where he was responsible for
identifying high-potential emerging companies and assisting them in
raising private equity, achieving critical mass and striking
strategic partnerships.
Joe previously worked for UBS Warburg in London, where he was
involved in the landmark 1998 merger between Swiss Bank Corporation
and Union Bank of Switzerland, as well as the earlier acquisitions
and integrations of S.G. Warburg, and Dillon Read. He was also a
recognized authority on the advent of the new currency, the euro,
and was a featured speaker on the subject at numerous financial
services industry conferences on 4 continents.
Prior to joining the financial world, Joe worked as a Legislative
Advisor in the U.S. Congress, and served as an infantry officer in
the US Army. He is a graduate of the United States Military Academy
at West Point and earned an M.B.A. from London Business School.
Both Joe and his wife Moira hail from Grand Rapids, Michigan. They
have 3 children and reside in Connecticut.
