Joined Van Eck in January 2004 as fund administratorfor international portfolios.
Currently serves as investment analyst for Van Eck Emerging Markets Fund and Van Eck Worldwide Insurance Trust's Worldwide Emerging Markets Fund, where he specializes in Latin America and Emerging Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) regions.
From 2006-2008 served as portfolio manager of Market Vectors ETF Trust; responsible for portfolio management of Van Eck's Market Vectors ETF Trust equity portfolios, reporting to the head of the ETF business. He reviewed indices and developed and implemented index replication and optimization strategies.
Also served on an investment committee for the Van Eck Worldwide Absolute Return Fund, responsible for man - ager review, performance attribution, manager mandate changes and risk management.
